Following the release of the P6K2Alexa PowerGrade, I received many requests to create a BMPCC4K to Alexa PowerGrade. This is that PowerGrade.
Created using the same process as the P6K version, P4K2Alexa features a new 3x3 matrix that accurately matches the P4K to the Alexa. This is the same method used by high-end post houses to match digital cameras. And it offerrs many advantages over using a LUT. For more info on these advantages, and for a look into the creation process, visit the P6K2Alexa product page.
built as a fully editable Resolve PowerGrade.
Now includes a film matrix and curve that approximate the colours, saturation and density of Kodak negative film.

FilmUnlimited is a collection of Resolve 17 PowerGrades emulating Kodak 5207 250D and Kodak 5219 500T film. It’s a full PowerGrade rebuild of the negative film stocks I shot and profiled in November 2018 and January 2021.
When I started project in early 2021 I had two goals. Create an accurate reproduction of the two stocks, and build them in way that offers maximum flexibility to allow me to achieve the looks clients request. Not every project calls for a heavy film look, so the PowerGrades must be capable of creating the full gamut of film based looks.
At the time of writing I’ve used FilmUnlimited on all but one digital project since the Release of Resolve 17. It’s now my main PowerGrade. I’ve used it, tested it, tweaked then tested it some more. Now it’s your turn.
